The Rogue Not Taken: Scandal & Scoundrel, Book I….. I would have taken this Rogue many, many times..

I  had  a  bad  day on  Friday  not because it  was  Friday  the 13th  but because  it  was  just  a  bad  pain day, I  have fibromyalgia  and  I  was just  feeling  awful in  general.  So  after  hitting  the   gym  which  is a  holistic  way  I am  dealing with my Fibro  I  was  still  feeling  the ick  and  when  a  girl  feels  down  she  goes  shopping…for  books!   I   picked up   Five  books   One  by  Lisa  Kleypas,  one  by  Jennifer  McQusion, Two by  Sarah MacLean   and one  Maddie  Taylor.  For  those  keeping score  at  home   that is  Four  historical  romances  and one  erotica  that is  a little out of my comfort  zone  but  looked  interesting  enough  for  $0.99  price tag.

Naturally I  started with a Historical  because  it’s my go  to  genre.  Sarah  MacLean  is  a new to  me  author,  she  isn’t new  to me  in  I’ve  never  heard of her, she’s new  to me  as  in I’ve  never  read  any  of her books…..  I know..    But!  that  has  now   changed   I  started of  course with  the  Rogue  not  taken  scandals  and  scoundrels  book 1   and holy  shit   I  did not want this book  to end, EVER.   The  series  revolves  around  The   Talbot  sisters  or  the  Dangerous  Daughters as  they called  for  they  each  cause   scandals  are   gossip  column  darlings. Sophie  Talbot  is  the youngest  of these  sisters, Sophie is not  like her  sisters. she is  considered  plain and  boring, that is  until  she  catches her brother-in law  the  Duke of  Haven     with  another woman.  Sophie  takes it upon herself  to  avenge  her  pregnant  sister  and  promptly   pushes  the manwhore  into  a pond  this  causes a  scandal  like  none the  Talbots have  faced  before  and  so  Sophie  flees. While  deciding  how  to  get home  she meets   Marquess of Eversley  otherwise known as  King  and  from the  moment  his  boot almost  hit  her on  the  head  there  were  fireworks  between them,  hot   feisty  fireworks.  The  way they argued   was just  something short of  lovely  to be honest I have never  enjoyed  so much  arguing in a  book in my life.  Sophie  ends up hiding away  on his carriage    after he  refuses  to   help her  get  home  to Mayfair. and  from  there  it’s nothing  but   arguing,  kissing, more arguing,  someone  gets  shot,  more  arguing,  Handsome  crazy  doctor  saves person life,  arguing  and being  jealous,   Hot sexy  times in a carriage,  more  drama,  Hot  sexy  times in  a  labyrinth.  Oh and leather  Breeches!  our  hero  wears  leathers  breeches  could  there be  anything  better than the   thought of  a bad boy Marquess in  leather pants?!

Over  all The Rogue Not Taken: Scandal & Scoundrel, Book I  was  well  worth  the  list  price  of  $6.99  and well worth  the read!  It  left me  with  not  the  Happy  feeling  you want  at  the  end  of  a  fantastic  book   but  through  out  the  book it  had  making  good  book  sounds.   I  gave  it   5 stars on  goodreads  and  would have  given it a  10  if  I  could have.

  1. OooOOooH I LOVE THIS REVIEW! Hellfire on a cookie, I love this BOOK!

I recently edited my video review of it on my channel (it’s not scheduled to release for a few weeks though) AND IN IT I LOST MY FANGIRL SHIT. I swear, Sarah’s internal conflict is like crack on chocolate.

And GUESS WHAT! I literally just read on Tumblr that the manwhore douche canoe Sophie ninja-punched is getting his own book. THAT’S RIGHT HIM AND SERAPHINE’S RECONCILIATION BOOK IS A THING! Like omg I can’t wait to see him grovel sooooooo good.
